Taiwan-based Acegreen, a division of Acelon Chemicals & Fibre Corporation, is a long-standing partner of Circ whose recycling technology processes polyester/cotton waste to make recycled polyester pellets and recycled cotton pulp. It has now extended its commitment by agreeing to purchase Circ’s secondary raw materials over the next five years. Acelon group’s polyester division has made a similar commitment to purchase Circ Polyester.

“Acegreen was one of the first to work with us, and they’ve played an important role in advancing our technology and bringing it to market,” commented Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ.

“This collaboration reflects our deep commitment to advancing sustainable fibre production and contributing to the future of a circular textile economy,” stated Roger Chou, CEO of Acegreen. “By working alongside Circ, we are not only securing a steady supply of innovative recycled materials but also reinforcing our dedication to reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency in the textile industry.”

Acegreen, which makes manmade cellulosic fibres, achieved a Dark Green Shirt rating on Canopy’s annual Hot Button report in 2023 and 2024.
