The young brand’s first collection includes a hooded travel jacket, a waterproof windbreaker, and a breathable rainproof jacket, all made from Ventile organic.
Cévène co-founder Renaud Martel commented: “Through our commitment to sustainable, biodegradable materials and eco-conscious practices, we aim to demonstrate that fashion can seamlessly blend beauty, functionality and environmental responsibility.”
Erwan Desvignes and Renaud Martel, the two co-founders of Cévène, met in Stockholm and began working together to launch a website that would later become The Nines, a ready-to-wear brand. Their new venture, outdoor brand Cévène has made its policy to avoid synthetics. Its main fibres are cotton and wool along with manmade cellulosics that are made in Europe, to avoid the risk of mismanaged chemicals at factories located in countries with less stringent environmental protection laws, they state on their website.
