A partnership between Australian recycling company BlockTexx and Indonesian polyester producer Asia Pacific Fibers will expand the availability of textile-to-textile recycled polyester yarns.

BlockTexx’s S.O.F.T., for Separation Of Fibre Technology, is designed for polycotton textile waste and yields two raw materials: recycled polyester and cellulose from cotton.

Asia Pacific Fibers’ Re-petitive recycled yarns are available in raw white, dope-dyed and with additional functional features such as moisture management, UV-blocking, antibacterial, anti-dust mite or even biodegradability. They are made from 100% recycled content in which textile-derived polyester can go from 10% to 50%, depending on customer requests. They are certified OEKO-TEX, GRS and RCS.

BlockTexx also recently obtained GRS and RCS certification from Textile Exchange.
