Burlington bridges denim & active with Everdnym
Performance nylon with a vintage denim look: Everdnym is a new range of fabrics made by Elevate’s Burlington weaving division. Thanks to a new proprietary patent-pending dyeing technique, these functional polyamide fabrics can achieve the fading of garment-washed denim, as Juan Carlos González told Sportstextiles. “It is a very versatile technology that can create many different looks. Our message to our customers is play with it in your laundry,” he said, adding that the company had already trialled laser finishing on the fabrics.

Burlington presented a series of woven fabrics, including gabardines, for chino aesthetics, and ripstops for sportier looks. Three shades are currently available (blue, black and brown) and the fabrics can be made from various types of nylons (biobased, recycled), with or without elastane. The technology can also be applied to knits, supplied by partner mills.

Everdnym gives truly functional fabrics a more casual aesthetic, and aligns well with the current revival of urban techwear.
