Helinox introduces new product category
Korean camping equipment brand Helinox has launched its first range of packs and bags. The design of the products is modelled on that of the company’s popular outdoor chairs with a focus on lightness and packability.

Named TERG, after the brand’s innovation hub known as the Trial and Error Research Group, the product category was first launched in limited editions in South Korea and Japan and is now being introduced globally.

The products are made from nylon, chosen for its durability, leather from Italy and the United States, deadstock denim fabrics made in Japan, and organic cotton.

The five products, including a daypack, shoulder bag and cross body pack, come with the same 5-year warrantee as the other products the brand makes.

“TERG provides a platform for the Helinox teams to express themselves, allowing them to blend different inspirations, from haute couture bags to streetwear, and to combine classic materials with technical textiles and cutting-edge details,” commented Helinox CEO Young Lah. “TERG is a passion project that I have been personally involved in for many years. I first started talking about it in the early 2010s and led the design of the Daypack, which was primarily conceived for my own travel needs. The Daypack required fifteen prototypes and four major redesigns. It is the essence of TERG, and its global launch is a tremendous honour.”
