Chinese merino wool-based trail running brand Outopia is poised to move on to the next stage of its growth. It has closed a Series B funding round without revealing the amount. The brand was founded in 2021 and its executive team includes industry veterans having worked for lululemon and LVMH in Asia-Pacific. 

The new funds will enable the company to boost product innovation, including performance fabrics made from merino wool, expand its retail footprint, and reinforce its staff. 

The brand won an ispo award last year for its Vita Shell jacket, made from a Pertex fabric. Its Storm Pants took home the Gold at the Asia Outdoor Gear Awards for 2026. 

The funding round was led by Meridian Capital with participation from Challenjers Capital, Ventech China and repeat investor Shunwei Capital.
