Helly Hansen sales up 19% in Q2

Kontoor has reported a 19% increase in sales in the second quarter of 2026, driven mainly by Helly Hansen which brought in $114 in revenues. Total revenue for the quarter ended July 4 was $584 million, with Wrangler accounting for $469 million (up 2%). This quarter marks the first full year of integration of Helly Hansen into the Greensboro-based group’s revenues. The sports division brought in $70 million, the workwear division $37 million, and Musto $7 million.

These positive signals, along with improved performance and gross margins, has inspired Kontoor to raise its outlook for the FY and continue to invest in brand-building operations, ear-marking $25 million for this.

The group has also announced the promotion of Helly Hansen lead executive Joe Alkire. In addition to his current roles at Helly Hansen and as CFO of Kontoor, he will now be in charge of the Wrangler brand.

“We've reached an important inflection point in our value creation journey, and we’re aligning our portfolio under one leader with the operational and financial expertise to deliver on our ambitions,” commented Scott Baxter, Kontoor CEO and chairman of the board.

The sale of Lee to Authentic Brands Group (ABG) is expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter. Proceeds from this transaction, in the order of $400 million, will be dedicated to a share buyback programme.
