Arc’Teryx debuts new additions to Whiteline
05/02/2010
Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx is introducing several new additions to its expanding Whiteline collection for autumn 2010, with new outerwear garments that it says deliver more warmth and protection to address the wind-chill factor of fast-moving downhill segments and the compulsory static stage that follows.
Incorporating unique features specific to downhill skiing and riding, each of the new Whiteline garments is designed with “descent-specific patterning” that enhances athletic movement, increases comfort with multiple layers, all while offering adjustable powder skirts, powder cuffs, helmet compatible hoods and hidden Recco avalanche safety reflectors.
Featuring Arcteryx’s most relaxed fit, the new men’s Sabre SV Jacket, for example, boasts progressive styling and is constructed with windproof and waterproof Gore-Tex Soft Shell material. Built specifically for cold and damp winter conditions, this insulated jacket sports all of the features to get you to the last chairlift ride of the day.
Another example is the new Sentinel Pant, which is designed to flatter the female form while delivering mandatory technical freeride and freeskiing performance. Made with Gore-Tex Soft Shell, the Sentinel features a low-rise waist, a trim fit, and looser fitting legs with articulation to provide mobility. The men’s Sabre Pant delivers all the same storm protection as the Sentinel with the same FreeRide Fit, and also has large pockets with internal volume to channel cargo away from impact zone and high mounted laminated powder cuffs that fit under snowboard highbacks.
