Chinese sportswear retailer defies gloom

Apparel supply chain manager and retailer Ever-Glory has defied the prevailing conditions for sportswear sales in China with a 31% rise in revenues in 2013, after opening 230 LA GO GO stores during the year.

Ever-Glory, which focused on middle to high-end outerwear and sportswear brands, reported full year sales of $368.1 million including a 75% increase in its retail business.

For the first quarter of 2014, Every-Glory anticipates sales in the range of $90 million to $110 million and net income in the range of $2 million to $3 million. For full year 2014, it anticipates sales in the range of $420 million to $470 million and income in the range of $11 to $17 million.
