Chinese sportswear brand Ever-Glory has previously managed to avoid the problems faced by domestic rivals but has reported its sales dipped 8% in the quarter ending March 31.

Total sales for the quarter were $97.9 million, having grown in China and the UK but fallen elsewhere.

Despite the dip, profit grew 16.5% to $7.2 million and the group operated 230 more stores compared with March 2014: 1,206.

For 2014, the group reported a 25% increase in sales to $460.1 million.
