Aquafil wins award at design event for Econyl

Commercial design event NeoCon 2014, which took place in Chicago from June 9-11, presented the best fibre prize in its awards programme to Italian yarn producer Aquafil for its Econyl brand of polyamide 6 products, obtained exclusively from recycled raw materials.

Econyl uses materials that would otherwise go to waste, such as abandoned fishing nets found on the sea bed. Aquafil says its aim is save useful material from going to waste.
