Aquafil and Huntsman Textile Effects celebrate 50 year anniversaries

Guests were invited to view Aquafil’s manufacturing processes and the polymerization, spinning and masterbatch departments where polymers and fibres are made.
Afterwards, company executives from across the world convened for a gala dinner at the Riva del Garda convention centre close to Lake Garda to celebrate with employees, friends and family.
In Mexico, Huntsman Textile Effect celebrating the 50th anniversary of its largest manufacturing facility in the Americas, Atotonilquillo.
The plant employs 350 and produces a wide range of chemicals for activewear including LANASET, TERASIL, TERATOP and ERIOFAST dyes.
Huntsman will invest another $5 million in the next 12-15 months to expand its product portfolio to meet growing demand for polyester activewear in the region.
Mexico’s textile and apparel industry accounts for approximately 6% of gross domestic product and almost 20% of all manufacturing employment in Mexico.
