Thule chooses Cordura for technical backpacks

11/08/2014
Swedish group Thule has chosen Invista’s Cordura for a new line of technical backpacks.

The Guidepost Series, the Capstone Line and the Capstone Daypack use nylon 6.6-based Cordura Lite to provide durability with and tear resistance. The material also resists scuffs and abrasions and has a high strength-to-weight ratio.

“As a market leader in car-top gear carriers, we wanted to expand our line and Cordura durable fabrics were a logical brand extension for us,” said Graham Jackson, global product manager at Thule Group.

“The fabric in these new Thule bags is a great option for durable, functional backpacks that work for various needs,” added Cindy McNaull, Cordura brand director.
