Revamped OIA board to steer industry through change

The US Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) has announced its newly elected 2014-2015 board of directors and named Jennifer Mull, CEO of Backwoods, as chair for a second term.

Gordon Seabury, CEO of Toad & Co, will be first vice-chair, while David Labistour, CEO of Mountain Equipment, is second.

The board consists of 18 industry elected members and up to 10 appointed non-voting members, who may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

New or re-elected voting board members include Fred Clark, CEO of Thule; Mike Joyce, CEO of Primaloft and David Labistour, CEO of Mountain Equipment.

Joy Howard, VP of marketing for Patagonia, has joined to complete the one-year term vacated by the outdoor company’s former CEO, Casey Sheehan.

Continuing board members include Peter Bragdon, senior VP of corporate affairs at Columbia Sportswear; Scott Kerslake, CEO of prAna;  Mark Satkiewicz, president of  SmartWool Americas; and Nora Stowell, VP of sales for Amer Sports.
