Teijin awarded for safety in Thailand
Three polyester fibre subsidiaries of the Teijin Group - Teijin Polyester (TPL) (Thailand), Teijin (TJT) (Thailand) and Teijin Cord (Thailand) - received the National Occupational Safety and Health Award in Thailand for 2014.
TPL has received the award 11 times, TJT nine times and TCT for seven consecutive years.
The facilities were recognised for implementing initiatives to enhance employee safety awareness, including a safety week during which company divisions shared information about their respective safety activities.
Since 1986, the National Occupation Safety and Health Award has recognised initiatives in Thailand’s environmental, safety and health field. Applicants are evaluated according to criteria set by the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.
