Teijin Frontier, Japanese conglomerate the Teijin Group’s fibre company, has announced its highlights for US trade show Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (OR).

It will present a high-tenacity polyester with 1.5 times greater tensile strength than conventional polyester, which it says provides greater comfort and support, and a polyester fibre with a deformed cross-section for enhanced perspiration absorption and fast drying properties.

DELTAPEAK fabric offers ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency, as well as snag resistance due to its dense, flat-knit surface; and lightweight and cushiony ELASTY is a substitute for urethane for a range of cushioning applications, such as bra cups, supporters and pads. It can also be combined with ECOPET recycled polyester fibre as an environmentally friendly insulation material for clothing.

Finally, it will highlight SOLOTEX polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, which is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and is partially bio-derived, so it also helps to conserve fossil resources.

OR will take place in Salt Lake City from January 21 to 24.
