Teijin Frontier updates Deltapeak fabric again
01/06/2018
It explained this has been created due to demand for functional materials that are more stretchable, sweat-absorbent, quick-drying and lightweight.
The new version of Deltapeak is based on the four-layer bulky version it launched in 2018. It offers water-repellency on the outer surface and water-absorbency on the inner surface. It is also said to repel mud and prevent sweat stains.
Going forward, Teijin Frontier has said it expects to combine this new fabric with other materials for enhanced sportswear, fashion products and uniforms. It is also developing an eco-friendly version combined with recycled polyester fibres.
It predicts annual sales will reach 200,000 metres by March 2021.
