Teijin adds to Deltapeak series of fabrics

02/06/2017
Textile fabric developer Teijin Frontier has developed a new version of its Deltapeak material that features a four-layer structure for better absorbance and quick drying.

Among the other characteristics it lists for the new material are soft touch and high cushioning, elasticity and resiliency. It added that the different densities of the surface and middle layers of the fabric are the key to its strong absorbance and drying properties.

Teijin has said the bulky, light material will be released in time for autumn/winter 2018 collections and will mostly be for sports apparel. It predicts that annual sales of the material will rise to 500,000 metres by the fiscal year ending March 2019.
