New Euratex president outlines his priorities
Serge Piolat’s two-year presidency of the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (Euratex) began on January 1, 2015.

Mr Piolat, who is co-owner of French technical spun yarns supplier Schappe, said on taking up office that Euratex must be aware of companies’ real needs and provide effective support to policy makers to make sure Europea strengthens its textile and clothing manufacturing industries.

He added: “My intention is to concentrate on a few priority areas, namely genuine industrial policy, free and fair trade, research and innovation support and sustainable production.”
