Pentland promotes for key leadership roles

UK-based Outdoor group Pentland Brands has announced a series of senior leadership appointments, all in-house.

Its CEO, Andy Long, said he was pleased they came from the group’s “leadership talent bank”:  “It means we can ensure continuity not only for our teams, but also for our partners, customers and suppliers.”

Sean Hastings, vice-president of product and marketing at Speedo, has been named marketing director for the group.

Taking his place on an interim basis is Jamie Cornforth, head of category strategy and planning, product and marketing at Speedo.

Carl Davies, managing director of Mitre and Prostar, has been promoted to global customer director at Pentland Brands.  Jon Godden, chief operating officer, moves up to take his place.

Matt Rock, managing director of the lifestyle division, which includes Kickers, Ted Baker Footwear and Boxfresh, will take on the role of supply chain director for the group.

His role has been taken over by Marco Ellerker, managing director of ellesse, Red or Dead and KangaROOS. Mr Ellerker’s former position will be advertised shortly.

In December, the group promoted Andy Long to CEO.
