Sales leap for Yue Yuen in February

Taiwan-headquartered shoe group Pou Chen has announced February results for the world’s biggest sports shoe manufacturer Yue Yuen, and Pou Sheng – both of which saw strong growth.

Yue Yuen’s revenues reached $591.5 million, while group-owned sports shoe retailer Pou Sheng’s totalled $210 million – 19% and 100% higher, respectively, than in February 2014.

Pou Chen makes shoes for Nike, adidas, Reebok, Asics, New Balance, Puma, Converse, Merrell, Salomon and Timberland. It can produce over 300 million pairs of shoes a year and accounts for 20% of the wholesale value of the global branded athletic and casual footwear market, according to its website.
