Moncler poaches COO from Louis Vuitton

High-end ski brand Moncler has hired Louis Vuitton’s President of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa as chief operating officer, reporting into CEO Remo Ruffini.

Roberto Eggs began his career in 1992 with the Nestlé group, holding international positions in marketing, after which he assumed the leadership of the consumer and business divisions of Nespresso as vice-president.

Mr Ruffini said: “Roberto Eggs brings significant knowledge about the rationale of international growth. I am sure he will make a big contribution to all the aspects of our brand’s challenges by supporting the creation of value and excellence in all what we do.”

The rapidly growing company reported a 20% sales rise in 2014.
