Moncler puts faith in Romania for manufacturing
Ski brand Moncler is setting up a manufacturing unit in Romania, creating about 600 jobs.
It will be its second new factory in the country in a year and is part of a wider project to "consolidate its know-how" in down jackets and to expand its production capacity.
The company will invest €5 million over the next few months in “new industrial and manufacturing technologies".
Moncler’s revenue grew almost a third in 2015 to €880 million.
It was founded at Monestier-de-Clermont, Grenoble, France, in 1952 and is headquartered in Italy.
It listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in December 2013 and has witnessed rapid growth over the past few years.
