Moncler revenue rises 17% in 2016
Ski brand Moncler reported consolidated revenue of €346.5 million in the first half of 2016, a 17% increase on the same period of last year. This came of the back of strong growth in sales in all regions.

Remo Ruffini, Moncler chairman and CEO, said he was “extremely happy with the results”, which were achieved in “a generally complex situation for the luxury goods sector”. He paid tribute to the company’s “clear strategy and increasingly strong brand perception”.

Sales in Asia & rest of the world, revenue increased 30% with above average growth in mainland China and Japan. There was also strong performance in South Korea, where Moncler opened a retail store in Seoul airport.

Revenue grew 20% in the Americas and 8% in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, where the UK and Germany showed good results. Moncler says the “continued slowdown of tourist flows” weighed on sales in France. In Italy, the brand’s home market, sales were up 5%.
