Invista lectures promote environmental message in Shanghai

Polymers and fibres producer Invista has embarked on a series of lectures and interactive events at the Shanghai Petrochemical Academy to explain its environmental health and safety philosophy.

Invista is building hexamethylene diamine and nylon 6.6 polymer facilities in Jinshan district, expected to come on stream in late 2015 and early 2016, respectively.

Chua Choo Ching, Invista plant manager, said: “Invista is deploying its most advanced production technologies at new facilities, making them among the most energy-efficient nylon intermediates sites in the world.

“As one of the major international enterprises in Jinshan district, cooperation with Shanghai Petrochemical Academy to share our sustainability vision will contribute to our long-term success.”

Lin Guoxin, vice principal from Shanghai Petrochemical Academy added that the “knowledge is critical for future chemical professionals”.
