Billabong ups support for health services through SurfAid

02/04/2015
Billabong has renewed its partnership with SurfAid, a charity which aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions near the world’s most iconic surf spots.

As part of the deal, the brand will help to launch “Surf Aid September” with sponsorship of two surf contests and fundraisers in Malibu and Sydney.

Money raised will go towards projects including SurfAid’s programme in Nias, Indonesia, that has successfully increased the quality of health services for mothers and children, while reducing mortality rates.

Billabong athletes Courtney Conlogue and Dave Rastovich will also travel to Nias to learn about the projects.
