Japanese company Happy Co has patented a process that uses a liquid to wash ‘dry clean-only’ clothes, eliminating the need to use organic solvents.

German textile testing institute Hohenstein says it is satisfied that 1,000 dry clean-only textiles were not damaged or changed by the process.

Is said: “The use of water-based cleaning processes in professional textile care helps to decrease the use of organic solvents and thus reduces the environmental impact caused by the emissions associated with the process.”

The methods of the “gravity-free balance wet cleaning system” have obtained several patents in a number of countries.
