BASF to raise prices for nylon base polymers

Chemicals company BASF is raising the prices for all polyamide 6 and polyamide 6.6 base polymer grades and the polyamide intermediates caprolactam and adipic acid in Europe by €120 per metric ton.

The increase is necessary in order to restore prices to a sustainable level, it said, and will happen “with immediate effect or as soon as existing contracts allow”.
