Columbia seeks ‘Directors of Toughness’
07/09/2016
Colombia says applicants will have to go through “the toughest interview rounds” to get the job. The first challenge will be to get to the interviews, which will take place in four remote locations – two in the US, one in Canada, and another in the UK. The candidates’ ability to reach the location forms part of the interview.
The recruitment drive follows on from the success of last year’s ‘Directors of Toughness’ – Lauren Steele and Zach Doleac – who spent six months testing Columbia’s apparel across four continents. Their destinations included Costa Rica, Uganda, Ecuador, Chile and Japan.
“We are excited to identify and hire two new outdoor enthusiasts,” Richelle Luther, Columbia vice president and chief HR officer. “They will put a spotlight on the effort our employees go through to ensure our products keep people comfortable, regardless of the conditions.”
