Osprey names new president
Backpack brand Osprey Packs has named Layne Rigney as its new president. He will join on November 28, replacing long-serving president Tom Barney, who left the company in September.

Mr Rigney (pictured) joins from outdoor equipment company CamelBak, where he served as president. During 11 years at the company, he was also occupied various senior sales roles.

The company has also appointed Jason Dunlap as vice president of finance. He joins from Black Diamond Equipment.

“As customer demand for Osprey packs is at an all-time high, the fortification of our executive leadership team will allow us to continue to grow and manage the increasing demand for our product on the global stage,” said Mike Pfotenhauer, founder of Osprey.
