Xeros targets textile industry

The company currently applies the technology in two industries, cleaning and leather tanning, but has confirmed that it is now targeting textiles as its next area of expansion. It has already started small-scale trials to this end.
“All early indications are that Xeros' technology can reduce the chemistry, water consumption and effluent in textile manufacturing,” the company said.
Xeros CEO Mark Nicols explained that the board had identified textiles as its third area of focus as it is a water- and chemical-intensive industry. This suggests it holds significant potential for Xeros’ technology.
“We are in advanced discussions with a number of globally recognised brands as we look to accelerate the adoption of our technology,” he added.
