Xeros signs first textile industry agreement
07/06/2019
It is the first such agreement that Xeros has signed in the textile industry. It has already made significant progress in its work with companies from the leather sector.
The aim of the partnership with Dongguan Crystal is to prove the technical and commercial benefits of Xeros’ XOrb and XDrum technologies in garment production. The development and testing programme is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
If successful, the two parties will have the opportunity to discuss terms for the development and future deployment of the technologies across a range of products.
Making his announcement, Mark Nichols, chief executive of Xeros, said: "We expect our agreement with Crystal International to prove out, at scale, the considerable improvements in sustainability and cost delivered by our technologies and the multiple ways in which they can be applied in the production of garments. We expect to sign further agreements with leading garment manufacturers during 2019."
