They are made using Mount Vernon’s Cooleemee Fire Resistant (FR) fabric and feature Wrangler’s Cool Vantage technology, which wicks perspiration away from the skin to allow quicker evaporation. The technology complements the body’s natural cooling mechanisms to help regulate body temperature in hot conditions or during intensive physical activity.
“Mount Vernon FR has assisted us in developing flame resistant clothing that combines unprecedented performance, durability and comfort, a winning combination that keeps wearers cool, dry and protected when it matters most,” said Ashley Farrar, workwear & FR merchandising manager at Wrangler.
Mike Woods, vice president of FR fabrics at Mount Vernon, described Wrangler as a “pioneer in creating FR clothing with superior performance”. He added that Mount Vernon is committed to “continually evolving” its FR fabrics to meet the changing needs of consumers.
