Industry 4.0 “a major challenge” for Vietnam’s textile industry

“Industry 4.0 will create very rapid changes and unpredictable factors in the economy,” he said. “If there are no careful preparations, production systems in the sector will not be sufficiently competitive to adapt to the changes. This will be a major challenge within the next five years.”
He suggested that Vinatex must pay more attention to research in the coming years so that the technological advancements of Industry 4.0 can contribute to improving the productivity of Vietnam’s textile industry.
“The most important thing is ensuring the group is not excluded from global [supply] chains,” he affirmed. “It will be difficult to achieve this goal as it requires the group to focus on the development of resources.”
