Biggest sports shoe maker keeps growing

Yue Yuen, one of the world’s largest footwear manufacturers, has reported a 7% rise in sales for May compared with the same month last year.

Sales reached $809,000 during the month, while the $3.7 billion for the January to March period is 5% higher than last year.

Pou Sheng, the group-owned sportwear retailer, grew sales 10% for May. 

Yue Yuen makes shoes for brands including Nike, adidas, Reebok, ASICS, New Balance, Puma, Under Amour, Converse, Merrell, Salomon and Timberland, and operates factories in China, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States and Mexico.
