The Taiwanese government has ordered blankets to be made from 200,000 plastic bottles that will be supplied to athletes during August’s 29th Summer Universiade, the largest sporting event ever held in Taiwan.
Around 290 Taiwanese companies specialise in the recycling of plastic containers, including textile groups Ecomax Textile and Singtex.
