ICAC seminar to have sustainability as key focus

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has announced there will be an international seminar on the theme “Cotton/Textile Sector Market Trends and Issues of Sustainability” on September 18 and 19 in Taipei, Taiwan,

The event is being organised by the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs in cooperation with ICAC.

It will focus on global market trends, textile business models related to combined cotton and synthetic fibres, and sustainability and environmental protection issues in the textile sector. It will feature presentations from industry experts and panel discussions. 

The second day of the seminar will be dedicated to a visit to a Taiwanese textile company to observe a demonstration of a “breakthrough technology” for creating environmentally sustainable textiles.
