Gerber to showcase digital solutions in Shanghai
Specialist apparel industry technology provider Gerber will present a range of digital solutions, which it believes can help garment manufacturers cut costs, increase productivity and reduce waste, at the forthcoming CISMA exhibition in Shanghai, China (September 26-29).

“With the high concentration of apparel manufacturers and brands attending from the Asia-Pacific region, Gerber will demonstrate how they are different from others and uniquely positioned to help the industry transform,” the company has said.

It will include the launch of its new Gerbercutter Z1 with AutoMatch technology, which allows apparel manufacturers to automate manual processes to improve quality, increase productivity, shorten cycle times, reduce labour costs, and accelerate time to market.

Gerber will also highlight the benefits of its AccuMark 3D technology, which can be used to validate patterns and simulate virtual samples. This means designers don’t need to spend time and money cutting and sewing real samples.

Mohit Uberoi, CEO of Gerber Technology, said: “The time has come for our industry to embrace digitisation, to leverage connected technology by eliminating manual processes, and to improve quality, efficiency and cost structures, all in a socially responsible way.”
