German brand turns to FitStation partners for customised safety shoes

Huntsman’s certified PU midsole technology for multi-section injection (MSI) offers state-of-the-art properties in terms of comfort and durability. The resulting customised shoes are made using a combination of FitStation’s 3D foot scanning, using RSscan pressure plate technology, and a DESMA MSI moulding machine.
Steitz Secura will demonstrate production of its PU-based customised shoes at A+A 2017 in Düsseldorf (October 17-20).
Working together, Huntsman, Steitz Secura, Desma, FitStation and partners say they have created “a complete solution for the automated manufacture of tailor-made, differentiated safety shoes”.
At the start of A+A, Hugo Verbeke, platform manager for elastomers at Huntsman Polyurethanes, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this exciting project and to work alongside such a prestigious group of partners.
