Huntsman adds to non-fluorinated DWR portfolio

Huntsman Textile Effects has added a non-fluorinated durable water repellent (DWR) with extra rain and stain repellency to its Phobotex stable.

Phobotex RSY can be used on synthetics and blends, offering breathable comfort and durable water and stain repellence.

It complies with bluesign, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Manufacturing Restricted Substances List and the Restricted Substances Lists.

“Phobotex RSY allows brands to offer high-performance weather protection to outdoor enthusiasts with an assurance of eco-friendly sustainability,” said Lee Howarth, marketing manager for finishing at the Singapore-based company.
