During the ‘Nerazzurri day’ (Nerazzurri referring to the team’s colours of blue and black), the company hosted an Atalanta pop-up store where its staff were able to purchase official club merchandise. Radici employees also picked up more than 2,600 jerseys that they had reserved in the previous weeks. The football club sent some of its youth team players to the event; the first team were unavailable as they were travelling to an Italian league match.
Atalanta players have worn jerseys bearing the Radici name throughout their participation in the current UEFA Europa League competition.
“Together with Atalanta, we have challenged Apollon, Lyon and Everton on the football pitch, which has given us further market visibility in France and England, two strategic markets in terms of group sales,” said Angelo Radici, president of the company.
In the next round of the competition, Atalanta will face German side Borussia Dortmund. Mr Radici explained that this country is the company’s second most important market after Italy.
