17/07/2018
Global nylon 6.6 manufacturer Nilit has announced that Kirsten Harris has joined the company as director of marketing for North America. She replaces Molly Kremidas, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

In her new role, Ms Harris will work with North American apparel brands and retailers to try to  increase the reach of Nilit nylon 6.6 products, including its newest brand, Sensil. She has more than 20 years’ experience in apparel product management and global sourcing. Most recently she worked for Amazon as senior brand manager for private-label activewear. Before that, she held roles at Nike and was development manager for women’s activewear at retail group Nordstrom.

On announcing the appointment, Nilit’s vice-president for global marketing and research and development, Pierluigi Berardi, said Kirsten Harris’s “deep product and supply chain experience” would help raise Nilit’s profile in the “rapidly changing North American apparel market”.

The Israeli company’s president for North America, Fred Indermaur, said Ms Harris will help drive new marketing initiatives for products such as Sensil, which he said emphasises the “superior comfort and longevity” of nylon 6.6 apparel. He said these efforts will also focus on “dynamic, smaller brands that prefer to source locally from our domestic yarn and fabric partners”.
