A German-Israeli partnership focusing on textiles recycling and circularity will launch this month at the Expo Tel Aviv, with a focus on “developing solutions and technologies that will create a cleaner and circular global fashion and textile industry”.

The project is supported by the German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation and run by Re-Fresh, an Israel-based innovation centre for textiles sustainability.

Nylon 6.6 producer Nilit is a sponsor of the project, saying it aligns with its goals.

Ilan Melamed, Nilit’s general manager, said: “Nilit has been recognised for improving our manufacturing footprint by increasing our use of clean energy, reducing emissions and waste, and introducing responsible products that target ecological challenges.”
