Israel-based nylon 6.6. producer Nilit has invested in The Ocean Foundation’s Blue Resilience Initiative to help re-establish and safeguard ocean meadows and other coastal habitats. 

Marine grasslands are vital ecosystems for sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere to reduce global warming and ocean acidification, sustain sea life and defend coastlines against erosion.

The company has introduced clean energy technologies at its manufacturing plants. 

Its most recent product, Sensil BioCare, is made with an additive that accelerates biodegradation to reduce textile microplastics in marine environments. Independent testing showed biodegradation of about 40% in 500 days.
