Dornbirn prepares to host twin symposiums

Reports earlier this year suggested it had been cancelled, with the event’s website still showing a message to that effect.
Instead, a symposium called ‘Smart Textiles’ is being organised. It is scheduled for September 12-13, the same dates as the original event, in Dornbirn, Austria. A wide range of speakers have signed up to take part.
It will run concurrently with the Dornbirn Man-made Fibres Congress (MFC), a leading symposium related to synthetic fibres. There are five focus topics for this event: fibre innovations, transportation and mobility, recycling – circular economy, energy generation and storage, surface modification and additive technologies. Around 700 participants are expected from 30 countries.
