High-end ski brand Moncler has reported revenue of €872.7 million in the first nine months of 2018, an increase of 18% compared to the same period of last year.

The company’s retail performance was particularly impressive, with sales increasing 25% to €597.3 million. Revenue from its wholesale operations was €275.4 million, 6% higher year on year.

Moncler said revenue from Italy, its domestic market, rose 8% during the first nine months of the year, driven by strong retail performance and the opening of new stores in Florence and Milan.

Excluding Italy, sales in the EMEA region increased 31.2% year on year, while there was 38.9% growth in revenue from Asia and the Rest of the World. The Americas saw a 15.8% increase in revenue.

“Being able to post a further 18 per cent growth also for the third quarter of 2018, despite an increasingly challenging comparison base, is an exceptional result for Moncler which, I believe, confirms the strength of the strategy and our ability to execute,” said Remo Ruffini, chairman and CEO of Moncler.

He added that there are already “very positive signs” for the fourth quarter and that the brand’s momentum is strong across all markets.
