Under Armour appoints chief people officer

Sports brand Under Armour has appointed Tchernavia Rocker to the newly created position of chief people and culture officer. She will join the company in February.

In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of Under Armour’s human resources operations. She will report directly to chairman and CEO Kevin Plank. 

Announcing the appointment, Mr Plank said: "We are thrilled to welcome Tchernavia to the Under Armour family and to our executive leadership team. Tchernavia brings deep industry experience in building best in class HR operations while developing strong workplace culture rooted in brand, values and transparency.”

Mr Rocker joins Under Armour from motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson, where she spent more than 18 years in human resources leadership roles. She was most recently chief human resources officer.
