The National Graphene Association (NGA), the body responsible for advocating for and promoting the commercialisation of graphene in the US, has made Italian company Directa Plus the latest addition to its industry council.

The NGA industry council is an invitation-only membership category that brings together influential graphene companies with the intention of developing the global graphene market and advancing the commercialisation of graphene.

“The strategic decision to appoint Directa Plus to the industry council was based on the prominence of Directa Plus as one of the largest producers and suppliers of graphene-based products in consumer and industrial markets worldwide,” explained Dr Zina Jarrahi Cinker, NGA executive director. He went on to pay tribute to the “vision and commitment to excellence” of Directa Plus founder and CEO Giulio Cesareo.

Of his company’s membership of the NGA Industry council, Mr Cesareo said: “We are very proud of this invitation. We are wholly supportive of NGA’s mission to promote the commercialisation of graphene in the US as well its focus on addressing critical issues such as policy and standards development and its drive to bring together current and future stakeholders. This strategy will be fundamental for the entire graphene industry worldwide.”
