DyStar outlines sustainability achievements

Textile chemicals manufacturer DyStar has released its 2018-2019 sustainability performance report, in which it highlights a 22% reduction of emissions intensity compared with 2011. 

The report is based on four key performance indicators: creating responsible products and services, sustainable business growth, conserving planetary resources and caring for people.

The Singapore-based group has shown improvements through the year of 2018, its ninth year of reporting; achieving growth in revenue of 11% and operationally reducing overall production footprint by 20% for every ton of production. 

Highlights of the report also include an increase in global employee wages and benefits, chemical risk and textile processing audits for more than 2,200 mills and Bluesign approval of more than 1,300 products.
