Cotton On campaign promotes girls’ leadership initiative in Uganda

Cotton On Foundation, part of fashion retailer Cotton On Group, is collaborating with Girl Up, a UN global leadership development initiative, in a campaign to support girls’ education. 

It has launched a range of products which are available globally, for the ‘Together For Her’ campaign, including t-shirts, totes and water bottles, with all proceeds contributing towards a girls’ leadership summit in Uganda. 

Tim Diamond, Cotton On Foundation general manager, said: “Our partnership with Girl Up allows us to further build on the work we are doing to break down the barriers that girls face in accessing quality education.”

The partnership was announced at the 2019 Social Good Summit in New York, where Cotton On Foundation talked about its youth education programmes in Uganda, South Africa, Thailand and Australia. 

The foundation supports 20 schools in Southern Uganda and more than 7,000 girls across their global projects.

Cotton On sells everyday items and donates 100% of the proceeds to the work of the foundation, which has raised almost $100 million since it was established in 2007.
